Team TFM goes behind-the-scenes at Resorts World Manila for South Pacific in Concert. The show will run on September 12 and September 19.

The concert version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific, the Hit Broadway Musical, will soon be staged in the Philippines for the first time. Featuring all the hit songs from the Original Broadway Musical, South Pacific in Concert promises to give Filipino audiences a whole new way of enjoying its timeless unforgettable hits like “Bali Hai”, “Some Enchanted Evening”, “There is Nothing like a Dame”, “Happy Talk”, “Younger than Springtime”, “I’m in Love with a Wonderful Guy”, “Cockeyed Optimist”, “Bloody Mary”, “I’m gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair”, “Honey Bun”, “This Nearly was Mine”, and many more.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific in Concert will feature some of the Philippines’ best and brightest Musical Stage Actors. Headlining the cast are Joanna Ampil, who plays unsophisticated American Navy Nurse Nellie Forbush, Mark Bautusta as Young US Marine Officer Lt. Joseph Cable, Ima Castro as island Wheeler dealer Bloody Mary, and John Veer Mera Perez as Middle-aged French Expatriate Plantation Owner Emile de Becque. They are joined by more than 20 of the country’s finest theatre actors including Michael Williams, Red Concepcion, Hans Eckstein, and Raymond Concepcion, plus Ginger Karganilla and Mari Yapjoco playing Ngana and Jerome, the children of Emile de Becque. The musical set in concert style will be accompanied by The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Rodel Colmenar and directed by Veteran Stage performer and now Director Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo.
