Originally staged from August 31 to September 16, 2018 at the CCP Little Theater, Balag at Angud is an original musical written by Layeta Bucoy, composed by Dodjie Fernandez and Upeng Galang-Fernandez, and directed by Audie Gemora, based on the life of protest installation artist Junyee. They were joined by Ava Villanueva Ong (choreography, assisted by Al Bernard Garcia), James Reyes (costume design), John Batalla (lighting design), TJ Ramos (sound design), Datu Arellano (projection design), and Toym Imao (set design, assisted by Marco Viaña).

This Handa Awit segment is directed by Carlos Siguion-Reyna, with musical direction and arrangement by Ejay Yatco, sound engineering by TJ Ramos, and editing by Aggy Mago. It features performances from actors who have performed with the company in the past– Cris Villonco, Michael Williams, Tex Ordoñez-De Leon, Bong Cabrera, Trixie Esteban, Dennis Marasigan, Meynard Penalosa, Hazel Maranan, Paw Castillo, Phi Palmos, Aldo Vencilao, Alfritz Blanche, Karl Jingco, Sigrid Balbas, Remus Villanueva, Ian Hermogenes, Maia Dapul, Mikee Baskinas, Roxy Aldiosa, Francis Gatmaytan, Gabo Tolentino, Lian Silverio, and members of the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company– Jonathan Tadioan, JV Ibesate, Doray Dayao, Lhorvie Ann Nuevo, Antonette Go, Eunice Pacia, Manok Nellas, and Ybes Bagadiong.

Apart from the songs, the video also weaves together photos and footage from Tanghalang Pilipino’s online efforts throughout 2020, sending a message that the arts will stay alive.

They were joined by Jonathan Tadioan, Astarte Abraham, Mia Bolaños, Krystle Campos, and Bayang Barrios, together with members of the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company.

The first four installments of the Handa Awit online concert series featured songs from Mabining Mandirigma and Aurelio Sedisyoso, Noli Me Tangere the Musical and Walang Sugat, Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal, and Sandosenang Sapatos, performed by their respective cast members.
