Ricky Lee to hold Free Online Writing Workshop this April

Filipino screenwriter, novelist, journalist, and playwright Ricky Lee is holding a free online writing workshop during this period of community quarantine.

According to Cinema Centenario, interested participants must be at least 18 years old and a Filipino citizen. They should send their writer’s bio and letter of intent to banalramel@gmail.com. Deadline for applications is on March 27, 11:59pm.

The workshop will be conducted on April 8, 15, and 22. It will only be limited to 50 participants.


Ricky Lee has written more than 180 film screenplays since 1973, where he has won more than 70 awards in various award-giving bodies. For the stage, Lee has written the scripts for Himala: Isang Musikal, DH, Pitik-Bulag sa Buwan ng Pebrero, and has co-written the libretto for Binondo: A Tsinoy Musical.
