In a teaser that was released on Mula sa Buwan’s Facebook page, which showed clips from all the past productions, it was announced that the musical is slated for a rerun next year.

Based on the story of Cyrano de Bergerac, Mula sa Buwan tells the love story of Cyrano, Roxane, and Christian set in 1940’s Manila. The musical is written by Pat Valera (concept, book, and lyrics) and William Manzano (music and lyrics), with set design by Ohm David, costume design by Bonsai Cielo, musical direction by TJ Ramos, musical arrangement by Dana Marquez, lighting design by Meliton Roxas, choreography by JM Cabling, and dramaturgy by Katherine Sabate. The show is directed by Valera.

The principal cast of Mula sa Buwan’s latest production in 2018 includes Nicco Manalo alternating with Boo Gabunada as Cyrano, Myke Salomon alternating with Edward Benosa as Christian, and Gab Pangilinan alternating with Cris Go as Roxane. KL Dizon played Roxane while Fred Lo alternated with Benosa as Christian in the 2016 production.

No word yet on who will be returning for next year’s rerun. Final running dates and other information have also yet to be announced.

A movie adaptation, to be directed by Alberto “Treb” Monteras II, is also in the works. A timeline for film production as well as casting details will be announced soon.
