Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre has revealed the cast of “Macbeth” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for its upcoming Manila season this September. Alex Avery, a series regular in long running TV shows Doctors, The Bill and EastEnders, plays the titular role in “Macbeth”. He also plays Snug in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Joining him for both productions are Nana Amoo-Gottfried (Ross and Lysander), Ellie Burrow (Lady Macduff/ Young Siward and Fairy Queen/ Peaseblossom), Charlie Cameron (Witch 3/ Murderer 2/ Scottish Doctor and Puck), Christopher Chilton (Witch 1/ Murderer 1/ Messenger and Snout/Fairy), Suzy Cooper (Lady Macbeth and Peter Quince), Claire Cordier (Hecate/ Gentlewoman/ Messenger/ Seyton and Hippolyta/ Oberon), Maria Gray (Donalbain/ Witch 2/ Murderer 3 and First Fairy/ Cobweb), Paul Hawkyard (Macduff and Bottom), Adam Kane (Malcolm and Fairy), Tom Kanji (Old Man/ Siward/ Apparition 3 and Theseus/ Titania), Mark Peachey (Banquo and Demetrius), Shane Quigley Murphy (Lennox and Starveling/ Fairy/ Moth), Adam Slynn (Captain/ Apparition 2/ Servant and Philostrate/ Mustardseed/ Fairy King), Paul Stonehouse (Duncan/ Porter/ English Doctor and Egeus/ Fairy), Toby Vaughan (Swing/ Cover and Flute/ Fairy), Elexi Walker (Angus/ Lord/ Messenger and Helena), Jenny Wall (Apparition 3 and Fairy), and Francesca Zoutwelle (Apparition 1/ Menteith and Hermia).

Damian Cruden serves as overall Artistic Director as well as Director for “Macbeth”, while Juliet Forster serves as Director for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Joining them are Tom Wright as Associate Director, Amy Yardley as Associate Scenic Designer, and Sarah Mercade as Costume Designer. Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre is produced by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions.

The twin-bill production will run from September 17-22 at The Theatre at Solaire. The show schedules are as follows:
