Joseph the Dreamer, whose 2022 run just closed last August, is returning to the Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC for a limited run this November. Exact dates have yet to be announced.

The production confirms that principal cast members Sam Concepcion and Neo Rivera (Joseph), Gary Valenciano and Audie Gemora (Jacob), Kayla Rivera (Asenath), Carlo Orosa and Topper Fabregas (Pharaoh), and Bituin Escalante and Carla Guevara Laforteza (Rachel) will all be returning for the upcoming run.

Written by Freddie Santos, based on Cam Floria’s cantata entitled Dreamer: What Really Happened to Joseph, Joseph the Dreamer is based on the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob.

The show is directed by Paolo Valenciano. Other members of the creative team include Nelsito Gomez (Associate Director), Myke Salomon (Musical Director), MJ Arda of the A-Team (Choreographer), and Mio Infante (Production Designer).

This reimagined production first ran last February 21 to March 8, 2020 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC. It was the last production in Manila that had a full run before shows were forced to close due to the pandemic. Its most recent run opened on July 22, 2022 (delayed by a week from an initial July 15 opening date due to COVID) at the same venue and closed on August 20, 2022.

Ticketing details will be announced soon. You can visit Joseph the Dreamer’s Facebook page for updates.
