“From children’s songs to tribal chants, from planting songs to courtship ditties, from stirring kundiman to the delightful showstoppers by Sylvia la Torre, “ANG BAGONG HARANA” will showcase the best of all the Filipino composers from different music genres — Nicanor Abelardo, Ryan Cayabyab, Willy Cruz, Francisco Santiago, Antonio Molina, Resti Umali, George Canseco, Ernani Cuenco, Levi Celerio, Jose Estrella, Constancio De Guzman and Felipe de Leon, to name a few.”

“A story about self-reflection in time and in history set in 1941. Palasyo ni Valentin is a memory play that follows the story of Valentin, an old caretaker and film operator residing in an antiquated theater, who revives his eventual past through alcohol reflecting the development of the theater during the Spanish to American era of the Philippines.”

“In essence, the play upholds selfless governance in the midst of great power and incorruptible awareness of great leaders to the true situation of a nation. It is in this regard that the play fulfills the theme ‘Makita Kang Sakdal Laya’, liberating one from corrupt and non-transparent leadership to run a progressive and proactive nation rooted towards national peace.”

The night closes with a spectacular finale featuring seven songs from the much-awaited Les Misérables.”
