“Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” Full Cast Announced!

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group has announced the cast for “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” the company’s second production of its 20th season. 

Joining the previously announced Kayla Rivera and Nick Varricchio, who will be playing Carole King and Gerry Goffin respectively, are Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante (Kinky Boots, Fun Home) as Carole’s friend and rival Cynthia Weil, George Schulze (Waitress, Monty Python’s Spamalot) as Barry Mann, Gab Pangilinan (Ang Huling El Bimbo, Side Show) as the lead singer of The Shirelles and Marilyn Wald, Jill Peña (Side Show, The Horse and His Boy) as one of the Shirelles and Janelle Woods, Teetin Villanueva (Waitress, Desaparesidos) as Little Eva and one of the Shirelles, and Maronne Cruz (Waitress, Sa Wakas) as Carole’s childhood best friend Betty.

Among the actors who will be playing The Drifters are Tim Pavino (Miong, Matilda), Arman Ferrer (Side Show, Mabining Mandirigma), Jep Go (Eto na! Musikal nAPO!) and Markus Mann (Godspell in Florida). Nelsito Gomez (Angels in America, Angry Christ) will play a number of roles including Neil Sedaka and Rhenwyn Gabalonzo (Kinky Boots, Godspell) will play one of the Righteous Brothers. Joining them are Gabby Padilla, Dean Rosen, and Alex Reyes. Jamie Wilson (Ang Huling El Bimbo, Matilda) and Carla Guevara Laforteza (Ang Huling El Bimbo, Rak of Aegis) also join the cast as Don Kirshner and Genie Klein.

Beautiful

With a book by Douglas McGrath, “Beautiful” tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. From the string of pop classics she wrote for the biggest acts in music, to her own life-changing, chart-busting success with Tapestry, the musical takes you back to where it all began. Featuring classics such as “You’ve Got a Friend”, “One Fine Day”, “So Far Away”, “Take Good Care of My Baby”, “Up on the Roof”, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, and “Natural Woman,” “Beautiful”continues to run on Broadway and on the US National Tour.

The show will run from June 14 to July 7 at the Meralco Theater.
