You can catch these productions by the UP Repertory Company and Tanghalang Ateneo online this August to September.

1. Ang Kredo by The UP Repertory Company

The UP Repertory streamed its online production entitled Ang Kredo on its Facebook page last August 5. The show tackles the growing spread of fake news, especially in the news. It is written and directed by Ace Hernandez, with dramaturgy by Simon Lomibao and Emman Degocena.

2. Ravagi/Paglisan by Tanghalang Ateneo

Ravagi/Paglisan, written by Tanghalang Ateneo’s own members Migoy Arroyo, Joseph Garay, Ian Odtohan, Franco Pineda, and Aline Salillas, and directed by Kat Batara, is the closing production for the company’s second digital season.

The show follows the story of eco-journalist Glenn as they return to their hometown of Tindok following a peculiar weather phenomenon in the island. Along with their Manilenyo partner, Echo, they rediscover their now foreign home alongside the people they have left behind, unraveling the mystery of the island’s unnatural weather patterns.

The cast features current members and alumni of Tanghalang Ateneo– Zoë de Ocampo (Glenn and Batang Trans), Kyle Tan (Ama), Harvey Calubaquib (Echo), Rbie May Mendoza (Musang), Sophia Alba (Yollie), Valerie Rose (Linda), Anna Beatrice José (Ester and a Tindokenyong namamalengke), France de Guzman (Marilou and a Tindokenyo), Eric Tan (a boatman,), and Jericho Navarro (a Kapitan and a Maglalako).

Ravagi/Paglisan will stream from September 5 to 10 at Ticket2Me. A roundtable discussion about the show will also be streamed live on Tanghalang Ateneo’s Facebook page.
